ADMC Program

Updated FAQs

Check this list of recently asked questions about the ADMC Program to assist you in preparing your application.

These questions are listed in chronological order, most recent at the top.

When are the applications due?

There are two deadlines annually: March 31 and August 31. (This is a change from what was originally announced.)

How long is my enrollment good for if I don't yet meet all the ADMC qualifications?

At this point, we have not put a time limitation on enrollment. If your company needs a DMCP or cannot meet other qualifications in time for the first deadline you may still submit the application for the following class deadline.

I'm confused... do I just submit a list of my references (with email addresses) or do I have to get letters from my references?

Sorry for the confusion... we just need a list of your references with email addresses. Please provide a specific email address for the individual at the organzation/company that is willing to serve as a reference. Of course, if you've recently collected letters of reference for another use, and they're within one year, go ahead and submit those letters with your application.

In Section V - Item 6 - do you want copies of all of the certification documents or do you just want a list as it requests? It suggests that we mark attachments as V-6a, etc, and I just wasn't sure what you wanted to see as an attachment.

Yes, the certification documents should be included in the Acrobat file for your application. A list will not suffice.

What does it mean client and hotel references "from different sources"? Are you just saying that we can't have two recommendations from the Hyatt or two from Maritz?

A single letter cannot be used to meet both of these requirements, even if a hotel is also a client.

We recently submitted a very complete “Request for Information”, which included letters of recommendation from the Convention Bureau, clients, and three hotel partners. We went all out in completing this RFI, and were actually told it was one of the most complete applications they had received. They are within the past three months, and I was wondering if I was able to include those rather than go back to them and ask them once more to write us a letter of recommendation.

Yes, as long as the letters are current for the year the application is submitted, they will be accepted.

My CPA is saying that to “attest” to our company’s financial stability is a broad request, and that based on his policies and procedures it would require him to audit all of our office books, which would cost lots of $$$. Can you please advise or send a sample of what you are seeking?

Here's a sample of a letter prepared by a CPA: I have worked with XYZ company for 12 years. I have not performed an audit or review so I am unable to express an opinion or make a representation about the financial future of the business. However, during the time I worked with XYZ company, I have witnessed them go from $100,000/year in gross revenues to $3M while becoming debt free. Based on this type of historical performance over the time I have been associated with them, I would consider XYZ company financially stable.
