When the country’s third largest pharmaceutical company, Merck, contacted Convention Designs to develop a teambuilding activity with specific parameters of being high-energy, outdoors, and within
walking distance to the hotel, The Amazing Race: Boulder Edition was born! A route along Boulder’s popular Pearl Street was designed and challenges were strategically placed. Teams competed in tasks
including singing with a street performer, building bicycles for Children’s Hospital, and defeating a professional pool shark! Customized trivia questions provided teams with time advantages, while detours challenged them further; adding excitement and suspense to the final determination of the race’s gold medal winners!
