Emergency Preparedness Program Adds New Features

The Emergency Preparedness Certificate Program will be held next in Washington DC on 18-19 July.   #DestinationDC

Based on feedback from our first session, ADMEI has added new features to this program, including:

  • Participants are asked to bring their current emergency event check list to work with during the program, identifying missing elements
  • Extensive scenario small group discussions will help participants think through a wide range of emergency situations, from decor mishaps to accidents to mechanical malfunctions to active shooter or terrorist activities

Here's what one participant responded when asked what the most helpful thing they learned from the program:

I don't think I could pick one thing! I think I realized that our HUGE document for emergency plans are missing some really basic yet vital pieces. I am going to be able to revise it and make it something more user-friendly and practical.
